To prove that it really is working, I received my first “viagra” and “porn” website links that someone tried to sneak in at the end of a previous article. Shame on them : (

Our work is cut out for us on the Internet, everyone. God gave us the Internet as a tool to reach the ends of the earth with the Gospel in mere seconds. Of course we have some ways to go before Internet access is available to everyone, but you have to start somewhere, right?

Satan knows full well what the Internet could do to advance the kingdom of God, so he has his own plan to pervert it.

Did you know that approximately 25% of all Internet searches are for pornographic materials?

This isn’t some “ministry hype” where I give you fire and brimstone messages with little grounding in the truth. I work in Internet Marketing and have access to this data. Guys, we have to beat this - of course we can’t do it alone.

1. We need the power of Jesus Christ.
2. We need accountability of a Christian men’s group. Guys that will look us in the face and ask us the tough questions. Of course we will form bonds of strong friendship as well.
3. We need a backup system to filter our Internet access, OR… we get software that records our Internet activity and emails it to a friend and/or our wives.

I’ll check out some software for #3 and let the guys know what kind of costs we are looking at.

 Guess I got a bit off topic, but I hope this gives the guys a few tips for navigating the treacherous area of the Internet. Trust me, it’s tough. I am on the Internet all day and am tempted. We have to be proactive in defeating the devil. Fortunately it can be done through the blood of Jesus Christ. Furthermore, God says that we can do it!

1Co 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
