Confused about the Book of Revelation?

page from book of revelation Ever get confused reading the book of Revelation? I’ll admit that I avoid this book, because…. it’s a bit intimidating. I mean, we have weird imagery and frightening events. As Christians though, we shouldn’t be afraid.

Some of the symbolism in the book of Revelation can be explained if we know more about the historical context in which the book was written. Back to the Bible produced a short Revelation glossary that explains some of the places and symbolic representations used.

The Revelation glossary pairs up beautifully with the 8-week study of the Book of Revelations that their radio ministry just completed. You can listen to the audio and read transcripts on their website, or you may pick up the series on CD for a nominal price. I encourage you to check it out. Woodrow Kroll invites groups into the studio, and they study it together. Mr. Kroll does most of the talking, but that is an absolute treat - take a listen for yourself.

  1. Why can’t you keep your personal delusions to yourself? Seriously?

The bible is a storybook that has very little bearing on reality.

If you want to believe in magical sky fairies, that’s your choice, but pushing your deluded moral agenda on society is WRONG.

Think about this the next time someone looks at you thinking, “What a nutjob he is!”

  2. Pile, not sure how I’m pushing my deluded moral agenda on anyone since it’s my personal blog - even a bit ironic you dropped by unsolicited to point this out.
