Lesson for Christian Bloggers

If you are going to write a really controversial post, save it for a week or two and pray about it. I forget to do the second part (perhaps because I know what the answer is).

I often wonder, “What was I thinking,” when I look back through some drafts of blog posts, and immediately delete them like I could catch some disease from it. The Internet is an awesome tool for reaching the entire world in an instant, but it also carries an awesome responsibility.

With each post a blog publisher does one of two things.

  1. Leads people closer to God
  2. Leads people further from God

Pray that all Christian Internet publishers (and you are if you’re a Christian and have a blog) receive wisdom to use our gifts solely for the glory of the Lord.

  1. I guess Christy didn’t like the Great Swear-Off pie chart! Just kidding. This post is a good lesson for any Christian in the blogging business. I’ve learned this lesson myself. And I’ve also learned that this applies to blog comments and emails as well - especially email “zingers” written in response to something that’s made you mad. Keep up the great work on the blog and let us know how the swear-off is going! :-)

  2. Excellent post and good advice.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Great to have your comments over there and hope you’ll visit often.

    Thanks and God Bless!!
