The Rev. Matt Chandler has just finished the last of his chemo treatments for a life-threatening brain tumor that struck him in November of 2009. I am 61 and listen to Matt’s sermons every day. Listening to him inspires me, convicts me as well as making me laugh sometimes. My hat goes off to him for having the guts to speak the truth.

My wife and I are thinking of taking a trip to Dallas just to hear Matt in person. He has completely changed our lives. We both are very busy professionally speaking. So finding time for a daily bible study was hard. Now, we podcast his sermons and listen to then on our way to and home from work. Then we talk about the message at dinner. He is like listening to a comedy routine with a very moving, powerful and convicting spiritual and godly message. I am so thankful that a co-worker told me aboue him a few months ago. We are praying for his cancer and thank God for him everyday.

I saw you on James Robinson tonight…it inspired me…I was at work listening…happened to turn in…my daughter in in ICU DelRay Beach Florida…I cannot be with her…she needs my insurance…I have to work and leave her…she is only 27…has seizures…and lost her will to live…as you are on your journey will you Please pray for Heidi…without a miracle she will die…I have no church and no christian friends…just happened to tune in…hope all is well with you…will you pray for Heidi..thanks

I’m not sure where Matt went to school, but he preaches at the Village Church’s main campus in Flower Mound, Texas, a Dallas suburb.

By the way, if you haven’t heard, Matt underwent brain surgery this week to remove a tumor. Not sure yet if it’s benign or malignant. Send some prayers his way!

Where can you go and watch Matt teach and preach in person? Is there a list of his appearances? I would love to take my 22 year old son to listen to him as Matt’s teachings have changed his life and brought him out of the wild college lifestyle into walking God’s path in college. Please post if you have it! Thanks.
