Servant Leadership
I was at Celebrate Recovery a couple weeks ago and one of our group leaders was looking down at the “leader” tag around his neck.
He said, “I wish we could change this to say ‘servant’. That’s what we’re really supposed to be.” It was obvious from the look on his face and humble attitude that he really meant it. I thank God for little moments like those that almost slide past us, but keep tugging on our heart until we let it in.
I was listening to the Bible on CD recently and heard Jesus reminding us of the servant-leader relationship. This is such a vital lesson for all of us, whether we are in a position of leadership in our workplace, church, home, or school.
